Loft/Attic sort out

Sorted the loft out today, thought I'd share what my thought process was. 

I see the loft as another room not room to forget stuff in. I'm also very conscience that one day we would love to convert the space into another bedroom, so I don't want stuff up there building up which will be in the way in the future. 

I divide the space into categorises, for example, Christmas decorations, pictures and memory boxes. 

There maybe a pile of things that you know need clearing but are not ready to do this, these can still be organised into their own pile. 

I use clear boxes and label all my memory boxes by age or person, depending it is for the children, adults or whole family. Clear  containers allow you see what is inside at a glance.

When organising, think about whether its a: Must keep, Good for someone else, charity shop, bin.
